Butterfly Chair

I saw a butterfly bench in the Thousand Oaks Botanical Garden in California and wanted to make something similar. This chair feels modern because of the grey painted P&O steel, featuring two delicate wings crafted from thin gauge sheet metal.

Precision-cut CNC, the chair’s lightweight construction allows the wings to flutter slightly, evoking the gentle movement of a butterfly in flight. The sleek grey finish complements its contemporary aesthetic, while the warm, wooden triangular seat adds both comfort and a touch of natural contrast. Despite its airy appearance, the chair offers a surprisingly spacious and inviting seating experience.
