Door in the Woods

Doors are portals by design. They create “in” and “out.” I love the idea that someone can come across a door in the woods are instinctively follow a script for how to interact with it. You could turn the knob, open the door, and cross the threshold to the other side, or knock, lean against the jambs, slam the door, or mark your height over the years.
